9th ECOSY Summer Camp 2008 will be held in a historical town of Carpentras in Provence in France.
Carpentras is reachable by different means of transport and below you will find detailed information on how to get there and away.
It is very important that you indicate in your registration form which mean of transport you are going to use. This is crucial for MJS comrades in order to facilitate your arrival and departures, as also to ensure pick up (if necessary) and coach parking spaces. The more precise you are in registration, the bigger chance for all of us to coordinate it smoothly!
PLANE
If you decide to fly - the closest airport to Carpentras is Avignon. There are just a few flights a day landing there, which is why it is usually cheaper and less time consuming to fly to Paris and from there take TGV to Avignon. Distance between Paris and Avignon is 2 hours and 45 minutes, and at the TGV Station of Avignon you will already be awaited by comrades from MJS France.
If you decide to fly to Nice or Marseille, you will also be requested to take the train (TGV) to Avignon, as the pick up service will be provided by MJS France from Avignon (Station, TGV station and Airport) only.
Remember - shuttle service will be there for your delegation only if you mark your arrival details clearly in registration form!

If you chose to come by train - you can arrive to Avignon TGV station or to the Avignon Central Station. Both are connected with Paris, Montpellier, Nice, Marseille, with the Mediterranean French towns and also with Brussels. TGV from Paris leaves both from CDG Airport, as also from Gare du Lyon.
Please make sure to mark clearly which station (TGV or main) you are arriving to - so that we can ensure smooth transfer to Carpentras and Summer Camp Venue.
TRANSFER
The distance between Avignon and Carpentras is only 25 kilometers. There will be a bus provided by MJS France to transfer all the participants from the Avignon stations/airport to Carpentras on 25th July and back on 31st July. Please make sure to indicate clearly your schedule upon registration to ensure availability of places for you!
