Welcome to the special website of the 9th ECOSY Summer Camp - the greatest activity that thanks to hospitality of our comrades from MJS will be held from 25th till 31st July 2008 in beautiful Carpentras in France!
ECOSY Summer Camp is the most exciting week in a year of political activism. More than 2000 young socialists and social democrats from over 70 organizations will gather to enjoy together 7 day filled with fascinating debates, inspiring trainings and cool leisure time activities. Visionary politics, enthusiasm and international friendship - this is the most brief summary of what this unforgettable adventure is about!
To experience it all is a joy - to be there and take an active part in shaping the future of democratic socialism is a unique opportunity! Interactive workshops, informative school of socialism, networks' actions and seminars, modern trainings and intriguing conferences on leading themes from the European agenda and of the ECOSY "Social Europe for everyone" campaign open up a possibility to challenge distinguished guest speakers, to exchange views with comrades from all over the continent and to design together our joint mission to win back Europe in 2009!
Preparing to get truly ready for action, we have included in this years' program two special modules: manifesto university and campaign university. They will follow up the official launch of the new ECOSY Manifesto and will provide a good kick-off for our common struggle. Only together, united we can do that - and nowhere else you can feel such a power of unity as under the weaving organizational flags at the member organizations' evening, opening and closing ceremonies! Last but not least, standing for an open Europe speaking with one voice and taking responsibility in era of globalisation - we shall also use those 5 days for meetings of Global Progressive (Youth) Forum. And would you believe that last time we met at the summer camp the GPYF was launched? Be there this year - ECOSY Summer Camp is where policy really gets shaped!
Additionally - as ECOSY and its Summer Camp is a lot of fun - the program includes Young European Socialists sports' tournament, excursions, parties, concerts.... and much much more!
